The Pipers Corner School annual service of confirmation took place on Thursday in the School Chapel. The day was the culmination of three months of preparation undertaken by the girls. During that time they met weekly, after school, for a programme of teaching led by School Chaplain, Revd Mary Gurr.

The girls being confirmed were – Sophie H (Year 6), Justine J (Year 8), Holly P (Year 7) and Kitty S (Year 6).

It was not only a celebration of confirmation but also of baptism as Holly P was baptised into the Christian faith before her confirmation.

The service was presided over by The Rt Revd Dr Alan Wilson, Bishop of Buckingham, and was a truly lovely time of celebration for the girls, their families and friends. During the service the Bishop reflected on how the girls need not be afraid of anything, as they have God in their lives to look after them and help them to make the right choices.

Following the service the girls and their guests enjoyed a celebration tea in the Terrace Room. School Chaplain, Rev Mary Gurr said, “I always look forward to the Confirmation Service as it marks a truly special moment in the lives of the girls who have taken the personal decision to welcome God into their lives. It has been a pleasure to spend time preparing the girls for today and I look forward to seeing them grow in faith from this point forwards.”
