Whole School Pre-Prep and Prep

We had a fantastic end to the first half-term of the academic year as we enjoyed listening and watching our Inter-House Performing Arts. The girls showed a terrific display of House Spirit as they participated in an afternoon of great entertainment.

This annual event is an opportunity for girls of all ages to work together and put on a fantastic show. This year the girls had the theme of seasons to create a programme containing a House song and a Prep only song as well as a 5-minute introduction to their season. The girls included as much as they could into their performances, starting with their great clothing and accessories to match their House colours, as well as props and dancers to help visualise songs which were often played with the help of girls playing their own instruments.

At the end of the afternoon Mandeville were named as this year’s winning House, having impressed the two visiting judges with their lovely harmonies and fantastic use of dancers and instrumentals as they performed the Spring Season.

Headmistress, Mrs Ness-Gifford, said “Events like this which allow the girls to collaborate together really brings out the best in them. I was hugely impressed by the tremendous support each and every student showed for each other today. Every individual contribution was integral to the success of the performances and House Spirit was very much in evidence throughout. It was a fantastic way to end what has been a highly successful half-term.”
