Robin and The Sherwood Hoodies

Shortly after the Easter break, the Junior Theatre Company delivered a riotus performance of this tale with a twist. 

From the moment the girls stepped onto the main stage, this story of medieval mayhem kept the audience enthralled. With larger than life characters, surprise appearances and perfect comedic timing, it was an amazing display of energy and action. The evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Lauren F) and his ruthless guards threaten the freedom of the courageous Maid Marion (Megan F). She enlists the help of a band of freedom fighters led by Robin. What ensued was a side-splitting whirl of entertainment from a cast who have undoubtedly worked incredibly hard throughout rehearsals to pull off this feisty fast-paced production. 

Sue Bevan shared her thoughts on the show " the girls in the Junior Theatre Company have loved developing this very humorous musical, they have displayed great commitment throughout.  It was a real team effort with members of the cast sourcing their own costumes and Annabel D from our Sixth Form, designing and creating the costumes for Robin Hood and Maid Marion as part of her A-Level practical."  

Well done Year 6 girls, this was an instantly engaging and highly-animated performance from all involved.
