Pre-Prep Clubs & Activities

Members of the Pre-Prep Gardening Club have been getting their hands dirty this week, participating in a “Grow Your Own Potatoes” planting day.

The girls excitedly put on their wellies and gardening gloves, before heading outside to plant the seed potatoes that they have been chitting.

They opened their grow bags and evenly spaced their potatoes in the compost, with the chits facing upwards, before covering them with them with compost. They added a small amount of water and placed them outside to grow in a warm, sheltered spot.

The potato project, and the Gardening Club in general, is a fantastic way for the girls to develop a greater understanding of the natural environment and how things grow. We are excited to see the results of their labour over the next few months.
