Our aim is to inspire all girls to realise just what they themselves can achieve. Supported by our hugely dedicated teaching staff, girls become independent learners.
We hold self-confidence, critical thinking and research skills to be vital steps in this process. Our teachers nurture and guide, but we know our girls need to learn how to discover the world around them individually and independently.
In Year 7 and 8, girls follow a curriculum which includes:
English and Mathematics are taught in Sets. All schemes of work include National Curriculum programmes of study.
During Year 8 girls are guided in their choice of subjects for their Pre-GCSE year and subsequent two years of GCSE study.
All girls in Year 9, 10 and 11 study a common “core” of six subjects: English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, one Modern Foreign Language (French, German or Spanish) and Triple or Double Science Option studied as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In addition, all girls follow a PSHE course which includes Careers and Health Education together with Physical Education and Religious Studies.
In Year 9 girls also follow an enrichment course which encompasses the Arts and Humanities. Some girls in Year 9 will also follow an additional ICT skills course.
