Independent Schools Ski and Snowboard Championships

Over the Christmas holidays, fourteen girls from Pipers took part in the Independent Schools Ski and Snowboard Championships in Les Deux Alpes, France.

Our girls were given the opportunity to train in both slalom and giant slalom techniques with their own specialist race coaches for the first few days before they competed under international rules in both events. 

The conditions were beautiful, with clear days and snow, making it a delight to watch as the girls performed extremely well as they improved throughout the week. 

Over 400 students took part this year from independent schools across the UK making it the largest UK snow sports event for schools. Pipers girls were very impressive with their attitude to competing on such a high-profile event.
