Exploring Apprenticeships

Year 10 welcomed a representative from Amazing Apprenticeships to school this week to speak to them about the wide range of careers open to them through taking an Apprenticeship.

The talk formed part of the wider programme of Careers guidance offered to our students as they consider the paths they may wish to take when leaving school.

The speaker explained about what Apprenticeships can offer to young people in terms of the opportunity to gain in-work experience, develop role-specific skills, and to achieve a qualification, all whilst earning a wage.

It was particularly interesting for the students to hear about the variety of sectors Apprenticeships are available in including: Accounting, Nursing, Hospitality, Journalism, Teaching, Creative and Digital, Engineering and Legal Services.
