A week of outdoor activities and fun was in store for our Year 6 students on their residential trip to the Peak District.

All 40 Year 6 girls travelled to the Hope Valley, Derbyshire for a week of outdoor educational activities, with only one day rest after their successful Aladdin productions. They wholeheartedly threw themselves into the range of activities, which included weaseling, abseiling, climbing, caving, canoeing, and hiking.

Having missed out on opportunities of this sort last Summer, it was a tremendous way to prepare them for transition into Year 7. They were all taken out of their comfort zone in some way and have benefitted greatly from the experience. The mountain hike on Bleaklow Ridge was completed in particularly challenging conditions and staff were very proud of their attitude and effort to cope with rain, wind, and poor visibility with such good spirits.
