Throughout the week, Years 3-5 have been displaying great confidence and character work in their drama showcases.

Year 3's performance was a vegetable-themed comedy, where an accident with the seeds leaves the tomatoes and peas growing in the same vegetable plot. War between the two seemed inevitable, until they are threatened by the terrifying runner beans and have to unite against a common enemy. This performance gently tackled social issues as racism, war, bullying and living in harmony with others.

Cinderella was the magical story told by Year 4, as the students enjoyed portraying the tale with a bit of a twist. The Magic Fairy does her job, the dress and ball were divine, Cinderella had everything she could wish for, but when the royal temper frays and the heads begin to roll, shocked Cinderella found her wishes were all washed up.

Year 5 tackled their performance with style as they performed ‘Shakespeare Rocks’, which told the story of Aubrey, the rough Shakespeare Company's pretentious director, who obtains what appears to be William Shakespeare's lost diary. Along with his down-to-earth assistant, the pair decide to embark on an exclusive adaption of the Bard's personal journal.

Each performance was enjoyed by students and parents alike. You can see cast pictures and a few action scenes in the Flickr album below.
