A diverse range of clubs and activities has long been central to life at Pipers Corner and has a vital part to play in the development of each girl as a well-rounded individual.
With a wide selection of lunch-time and after school clubs and activities to choose from, girls in the Prep Department are encouraged to discover their own interests in areas such as sport, technology, outdoor pursuits, performing and creative arts.
Girls are encouraged to embrace a variety of leadership opportunities and positions of responsibility which serve to develop a sense of personal and social responsibility as they work together to achieve shared aims.
At Pipers Corner we are very proud to be involved in the Forest School initiative. Forest School provides a unique opportunity to learn through practical activities, in an exhilarating environment that is totally removed from the traditional classroom setting.
The experience provides the girls with the opportunity to explore the outdoors, to work together and build self esteem, to problem solve and to engage in a physical and social environment.
We have a fabulous wooded area, with both mature trees and saplings. The girls contribute to building natural shelters and we have two ‘fire circles’ surrounded by tree stumps for the class to sit on. Hot chocolate made using water heated by an open fire is a real treat in the colder months.
