Pipers students release prestigious new single on Spotify

Music at Piper has always been celebrated and to further highlight the depth and range of vocal talent within the School, our Arts Centre Manager and Music Assistant teamed up to put together a track that would be available to the wider School community. After much deliberation, the duo decided on the song ‘Best of You’ by the Foo Fighters. 

Arts Centre Manager Mr Hancock said: “We wanted to stray away from some of the more common choices, such as Adele and Little Mix. ‘Best of You’ suited different piano and guitar arrangements, making it a great song for the students to make their own arrangement with.”

Once the song was chosen, three students were approached to perform the much-loved song. Seasoned performer Mia in Year 13 (who has previous experience recording) was the first to join the group, with Year 11 singers Sienna and Mai-Lei joining shortly afterwards. 

The song was produced in-house with the group showing great enthusiasm and confidence when performing. Mia even added in her own improvisations to help make the song even more authentic to the School.

After mixing and mastering, the song is now available to listen to on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
