It has been Green Week at School this week and students and staff alike have been making efforts in our every-day lives to make an impact on reducing energy consumption.  On Wednesday, we observed ‘No Lights’ across classrooms and offices, relying where possible on natural light in a bid to highlight that we don’t always need to “switch on”. Thursday was ‘No Printing’ day, which compliments the work already being done by our HOPE Team in pioneering the reduction in paper usage across the School. The week culminated in the coming together of students to make their personal pledges to the environment in an interactive session lead by the HOPE team.

The over consumption of energy has a significantly damaging impact on the environment and whilst days of recognition are vitally important to raise awareness, it’s actionable change on a day-to-day basis that will continue to have a positive impact on our fight against climate change.

Read about our School environmental pledge and the actions you can take at home to support the wonderful work being done by the students of HOPE and the wider Pipers community, here.
