Pipers Corner took to the Austrian slopes over the February Half Term, staying in the beautiful town of Radstadt. With glorious sunshine and great snow conditions the trip was off to a good start.

There was lots of snow throughout the trip and all the girls at every level really took to the skiing, improving greatly as the days went by. There was even an opportunity to visit the city of Salzburg and Nonnburg Nunnery and Church, the setting for some of the scenes in the Sound of Music.

Thursday was the day for presentations with the girls thanking all of their instructors and giving them gifts (kindly organised by Sophie Brown).

There were numerous awards presented, but a few are worthy of mention; Ruby B and Jessica H were given the ‘Kindness’ awards (for various on and off the slopes moments of kindness ), Emily H and Megan T took the ‘Wipe out Of The Week’ awards, Katie W the ‘Dancing Queen/Disco Diva’ award, Livy S the ‘Most Stylish Skier’, and the ‘Grumpy Skier’ award was presented to Amreen B, who never stopped smiling!

After a great last day skiing and some last minute packing, the coach was loaded and everyone headed for home. After travelling through the night the Pipers Girls were reunited with their parents, excitedly telling them all about their adventures.

We are grateful to the members of staff who accompanied the trip - Miss Poore, Miss Walters, Mrs Horne-Seabridge, Miss Lindsay and Miss Mulligan.
