Pipers' debating team finish second in the Regional Round of the English Speaking Union (ESU) competition.

Three of our Sixth Form students, Stella, Maddie and Lily represented Pipers at the Regional Round of the ESU this week. They were up against Magdalen College Oxford, Bedford School, John Hampden, d'Overbroeck's, and St Helen and St Katharine.

The standard of debating was very high, covering challenging motions. John Hampden Grammar School were crowned winners and go through to the National Semi-finals, with Pipers finishing second on the night, over the other teams, which means Pipers will be the reserve team for this region for the National Semi-Finals and will take part if any of the teams pulls out.

This is an amazing achievement and we are really proud of how well our students performed.
