Students in Reception to Year 8 have been invited to take part in a new PE challenge, following the success of 'Race to 2 million bounces'.

During the last half of term, many of our students took part in Wycombe and Marlow School Games Award's 'Race to 2 million bounces'. As this was so popular and engaging with the community, we are inviting students to take part in their latest challenge - the Around The World Challenge.

The task involves rotating a ball around your chest then a figure of eight in and out of your legs to get one point. Students will have one minute to complete as many movements as they can. They can then submit their scores on the online form.

Tracking the movement of the ball going around the body is roughly estimated to travel four metres. Therefore, the collective challenge is to try to get a ball as far as we can around the world (NB students only need to keep track of rotations - the organisers will convert them to metres).

There will be medals, stickers and certificates for participating students with high scores across four categories: Reception - Year 2; Years 3 and 4; Years 5 and 6, and Years 7 and 8. This creates four separate competitions on top of our collective distance. Remember, taking part in any of these four competitions will add towards our Wycombe and Marlow School Games Award 20/21.

As it was popular before, this is a challenge for all students, parents/guardians and staff to take part in. The deadline is Sunday 18 April which allows students to complete the challenge throughout the Easter break as well during the school term.
