Netball

We are delighted to announce that both our Under 14 and Under 16 Netball teams qualified at the weekend for the Regional round of the England Netball National Schools Competition – coming 2nd in the county! Both teams played incredibly well and beat their opponents convincingly.

This is the first time that both of our teams have qualified and ranked 2nd in this round of the competition. The Students have showed great skill, determination and commitment so far this season, supported by our incredible PE Staff.

Regional Rounds will take place on 27 and 28 January and 3 and 4 February 2024. The National Schools Finals, in association with the British Army, will be held on 16 and 17 March 2024 at Oundle School. The top 18 School teams in the under 14, under 16 and under 19 age groups will compete to be crowned national champions.

Hockey

In the 2nd round of the Girls Independent Schools’ Hockey U15 Cup, Pipers enjoyed a hard-fought victory against Brighton College after being down 1-0 at half time.  This takes us to the 3rd round vs Hurstpierpoint College next month.  The 3rd round is the furthest Pipers Corner has got in this competition to-date, so we wish them the best of luck.

A huge well done to the U16A Hockey Team who have progressed into the second round of the England Hockey Teir 2 Schools Championships, beating Bradfield 3-0.  Pipers will face Wycombe High on 9 November.

Swimming

Our Pipers Swim Team enjoyed a great evening at the England Schools Swimming Association Secondary School Relay Championships in Watford.  The East of England (Hertford and Buckinghamshire) competition saw our Junior team taking home 2 bronze medals. We are so proud of them all.
