Over the years, Pipers have produced some exceptional athletes who have gone on to compete at the highest levels in their respective sports. We always encourage our students to participate in a range of sports and we strive to always provide opportunities for development in a supportive environment.

This week, we have had news of four exceptional instances where our students have shown dedication, competitive spirit and sporting success and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them for their talents and for representing the School at elite level.

Sixth Form Student Maddie R took part in ‘Intercounties Cross Country Championships’ as well as the ‘English Schools National Cross Country Championships’, alongside fellow Sixth Form student Amy H over the last two weekends. In both events there were roughly 300 athletes in their age group and both Maddie and Amy performed incredibly well.

Sisters Ellie S and Martha S (Years 9 and 4 respectively), travelled to Wales last weekend to compete in the British Show Jumping ‘Just for Schools Winter Championships’. They had a super weekend and both rode very well achieving clear rounds.  Ellie secured 7th place in the 1 Metre Class against 37 other competitors.

We are so incredibly proud of all our students who take part in competitive sporting activities – honing the skills of dedication, perseverance and team work.
