This week, Year 12 History and Politics students and Year 13 History Students, embarked on a journey to the heart of the British political landscape and a poignant exploration of India's fight for independence as they visited Parliament and enjoyed an afternoon at the National Theatre.

As our students strolled through the iconic corridors of Parliament, they were immersed in the rich tapestry of British politics - the experience of standing in the very chambers where crucial decisions are made was nothing short of inspiring.

An engaging law-making workshop followed, where Students were provided a hands-on understanding of the United Kingdom’s intricate legislative process and the art of political persuasion.

To complete the immersive day of historical and political perspectives they visited the esteemed National Theatre to enjoy a compelling performance of "The Father and the Assassin." This thought-provoking play delved into the life and struggles of Mahatma Gandhi and his pivotal role in India's quest for independence.

It was wonderful to see our Sixth Form Students enjoying the subjects that they are passionate about. By engaging with history, politics, and culture firsthand, we can truly bring learning to life.
