We are delighted for our Year 10 student, Maddie, who will be performing in the English Youth Ballet production of Swan Lake later this month.

Following an online audition, Maddie was not only cast in a solo role but also offered a scholarship from the English Youth Ballet (EYB) based on the scores she received for her audition.

“I’m really happy as I’ve never had a solo role in an English Youth Ballet performance before and I’ve never been offered a scholarship either. Also, it will be great to perform to a live audience again.”

Having first performed with the EYB at just 9 years old, Maddie has since been involved in three performances with them and continues to take every opportunity to dance at Pipers. She recently performed in the phenomenal Senior School production of Grease and will be performing Pointe and as part of a group at the forthcoming Senior Dance Show; a dance highlight in the Pipers calendar. Outside of school Maddie attends the Royal Ballet Senior Associates based in Covent Garden, all of which highlights her natural talent and dedication to dance and ballet.

Maddie will perform the role of the Spanish princess in the EYB production of Swan Lake at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 March and we wish her the best of luck.
