The Donkey Seller

The girls in the Pre-Prep treated a packed Arts Centre Theatre filled with family and friends to a five star performance of "The Donkey Seller” this week. The show followed the story of Mary and Joseph as they made their way to Bethlehem.

The Donkey Seller is down on her luck because she hasn’t sold any of her five, very impressive donkeys; Cheeky, Gazer, Snuggle, Bouncer and Prince!  Her fortunes begin to change when travellers begin to pass by: first Mary and Joseph, then shepherds and sheep, and finally some Kings travelling on camels. They are all on their way to Bethlehem and are all in need of donkeys. 

All of a sudden, the Donkey Seller has become overloaded with work and after the travellers have gone she is exhausted. Meanwhile some angels arrive and tell the Donkeys to hurry to Bethlehem - something special is going on. The angels lead the donkeys to a stable in Bethlehem, where there’s a party for a very special baby that has been born.

Each and every girl in Pre-Prep was part of this performance - they were absolutely fantastic and gave a memorable performance. They were incredibly well behaved, and gave their all throughout which was wonderful to see.
