Year 7 Academic

Well, what a week for Year 7! A wonderful array of immersive learning opportunities has been at their disposal including outdoor learning, excursions and alumnae visits.

Our Outdoor Classroom became the stage for those studying Shakespeare’s the Tempest in their English lesson, with the natural surroundings providing a superb backdrop to their re-enactment. Making similar use of the fabulous grounds here at Pipers, another English class used the Terrace Lawn and play equipment to work on an exciting multi-media project - recording book trailers to showcase to their classmates.

Meanwhile, for those studying German, a memorable visit to the Goethe Institute was a highlight of the week, with an array of opportunities to engage in the German language and culture. And finally, the whole of Years 7 and 8 were visited by Pipers' alumnae Grace Grimsey (and her lovely dog) for an enthusiastic Careers talk about what it’s like to be a Vet.

A week well and truly enjoyed by all.
