Visit Pipers

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is an enormous decision.

The start of that journey begins with a visit, where you can begin to imagine what life would be like for your child at Pipers. We encourage families to visit us as many times as they need to as they consider whether Pipers is the right fit for them.

We are delighted to be able to offer a wide variety of ways in which families can interact with Pipers and experience what it means to be part of our community.

You can read more about these opportunities below and please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Admissions Team if you have any questions.

Individual tours are available most mornings during the working week at scheduled times, to coincide with independent study periods of our Sixth Form Tour Guides. Visiting the School on a one-to-one basis enables families to get a real feel for the school environment and sample the atmosphere for themselves.

As an all-through-School, not only do you get the chance to visit the part of the School most relevant to your daughter at the point of entry, but you will also get to see the areas of the School which your daughter will grow into.

Subject to availability, some of our tours can be accompanied by a meeting with the Headmistress. Priority is given to those families considering the upcoming academic year of entry. Please speak to the Admissions Team for more information.

If you would like to book an appointment, please contact the Admissions Team, via [email protected] or 01494 719843

We host two open events each year, one on the first Saturday in October and one early on in the Summer Term.

Both open events offer an engaging experience for parents and students alike. Families are given their own student-tour guide, carefully chosen so that they will have joined Pipers at the same entry point that you are considering for your daughter, and there will be the opportunity to speak with Senior Academic staff and our Admissions team.

Our next Open Morning will take place early in the Summer Term, and booking will open in the second half of the Autumn Term.

These events are always over-subscribed, so we would encourage families to book their place as early as possible.

Hosted by the Headmistress, our Conversation and Coffee events see a Senior member of staff offer expert insight and guidance on a wide range of topics, that will resonate with families as they support their child through their educational journey.

Topics will span a broad range of themes that include Academic, Pastoral, Extra and Super-curricular Enrichment and Individual Learning.

Places will be limited at each event, and will take place on a termly basis.

Our first event will focus on the academic journey at secondary school and will take place on Thursday 28 November. Read more and book your place at this event using the link below.

'Understanding the Academic Journey' - Thursday 28 November

Nestled in our 96 acres, we are incredibly lucky to have a dedicated Woodland area in which our wilderness experts deliver our Forest School curriculum to all students from Reception to Year 6.

Each year, we take great pleasure in being able to welcome the local community and prospective families to experience this wild and almost magical space and engage in some of the outdoor learning activities that our own students hugely benefit from throughout their time at Pipers.

Every November, we open up our doors to our own Years 10 and 11 students, as well as to those families who might be considering joining our incredible Sixth Form.

At this event, families will have the opportunity to hear from our Academic Deputy Head and Sixth Form Leadership Team, including our Senior Prefects, and explore more than 25 A Level subjects that are on offer to our Sixth Form students.

The next event will take place in November 2025.

If you are interested in applying for September 2025 entry for Sixth Form, please contact the Registrar to arrange a tour of the School - [email protected] or on 01494 719843.

Although we encourage all our prospective families to visit us in person, we also have a selection of videos to get an overview of the School.

We also have some drone footage of our site, which comprises 96 acres in total and highlights our wonderful facilities from above, including the Arts Centre, Sports Hall, Main Building and extensive outside space.
