Pre-Prep Events and Trips

On Wednesday 29 June, Pre-Prep ventured to Woburn Safari Park for an exciting day of exploration.

The day started with a guided coach tour of the park, where the girls saw many different animals including bears, white rhinos, Siberian tigers and monkeys.  After the tour the girls had the opportunity to explore the Penguin World and Land of the Lemurs.

In the Enrichment Centre the girls were given a talk on the Savannah grassland habitat when they learnt about the types of animals that live there and how they adapt to living in such extreme conditions.  The girls then were introduced to a royal python which the girls were all allowed to stroke.

At the end of the day they made their way through the Desert Springs where they saw a porcupine, then onto Rainbow Landing, an indoor aviary which contained lorikeets.

Head of Prep, Mrs Rushforth said “It was a brilliant day which all the girls thoroughly enjoyed.  They learnt so much about different habitats and how animals adapt to survive in different conditions.
