New Eco-Friendly Prep Playground

The grand opening of the brand new Prep playground took place on Friday 28 January and our students are delighted with the results.

Not only is the new play equipment fun and challenging, but it is also environmentally friendly. The structure is made from Robina; a hard wearing wood that grows very fast and is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.

Due to the wood being naturally hard wearing, it is not treated in any way but still has a long life expectancy. The company who built the play equipment try to follow the natural shape of the wood resulting in the use of less man-made hinges, nails and screws.

As well choosing to use a wood that comes from a sustainable source, the safety floor is equally kind to the environment as it is made from recycled tyres.

It has won the Prep seal of approval and promises hours of fun for both our current students and future generations.
