A German Exchange

As part of the annual German Exchange programme run in conjunction with The Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, girls studying German GCSE welcomed German students from Ratsgymnasium in Osnabrück, North Germany into their homes and to school this week.

During their visit, the students took part in lessons at Pipers, visited London, Bath and Oxford and spent time with the host families. Pipers girls will also have the opportunity to visit their German partners when they travel to Germany in 2017.

Katie P (Year 10) said “My German exchange experience was one I will never forget. My German partner, Jessica, and I got along really well - we laughed a lot! I am glad I didn’t pass up this opportunity because my experience with the exchange programme so far has been excellent. I can’t wait to go to Germany and see Jessica again and spend time with her family. I believe it is an excellent way to improve my language skills.”
