Prep students excel in English Speaking Board exams

All of Year 4 and Year 6 took their English Speaking Board Examinations (ESB) last week, with all students passing with flying colours.

For the exams, each student worked extremely hard to learn a poem, develop their sight-reading skills and compile a presentation which they had to deliver to an external assessor. Year 4 took their Entry Level Award in Speech (Entry 2) and Year 6 took their Level 1 Award in Speech (Grade 1).

The results were:
Pass - 0
Pass Plus - 0
Merit - 5
Merit Plus - 12
Distinction - 41

"ESB has taught me to believe in myself more," said one student, while another reflected: "ESB has taught me that the more I put into something, the more I get out of it" and "ESB has taught me that external examinations are not that scary after all".
