West End star

We are very excited to announce that there is a West End actress among us. Matilda H in Year 4 is to star as Eponine in the musical “Les Miserables” at the Queen’s Theatre, London.  She is also to be the understudy for Cosette.

Matilda auditioned for the part in November, receiving a call back straight away along with six other girls. She then went on to be offered the part – a fantastic achievement considering it was only her second ever audition. Rehearsals have already started and Matilda will be debuting at the end of January for six months.

This is Matilda’s second time on the professional stage, other parts have included Molly in “Annie” at the theatre in Henley-on-Thames and roles in various school productions.

Ms Halton, Head of Prep Drama said “This is great news for Tilly, she is always very enthusiastic in her Drama lessons and this is such a great opportunity for her to excel in something she loves.”
