Earlier this term, girls in Year 8 took part in the NSPCC Number Day - a fun, nationwide maths fundraising event for children and young people of all ages that helped to raise money to support the NSPCC.

The girls participated in an activity called “Who wants to be a Mathionaire?” Sponsored for every question they got right, the girls’ aim was to answer as many mathematical questions as they could, to test their Maths Knowledge and maximise their donations.

In total Year 8 managed to raise a fantastic £555.50 for the NSPCC, a brilliant achievement by the whole year group.

Maths teacher, Ms Glypti, said “It was wonderful to see the girls take on the Mationaire challenge with masses of energy and enthusiasm. They all put in a great effort and we are delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for the NSPCC!”
