As part of the Year 11 and Sixth Form charitable efforts for this term, we are proud of our cohort for assembling a large number of toys and donating money to the Salvation Army, to help give children in need a present under the tree this Christmas.

On Thursday 12 December, we were pleased to welcome Major Carole Gadsden, who delivered a brief summary of the work that the Salvation Army does here in High Wycombe, she also graciously thanked Years 11, 12 and 13 for their hard work. House Leaders and Prefects then arranged for the group to have a well-deserved Christmas treat, including snacks, games and alcohol-free mulled wine.

As part of her assembly, Major Gadsen said: "When you open your Christmas presents, just look at the things that you've got. Where did you get them from and remember to say thank you to those who bought you those gifts. Appreciate what you're given."

The Salvation Army receive thousands of requests for help, especially in the winter. Well done to the students who managed to raise £186.06 for the charity.
