For the second year running, our talented students have taken top prizes (including the coveted first place) in the Buckinghamshire Art Society Young Artist Award.

Every year, the Buckinghamshire Art Society (BAS) has encouraged artistic activities among young people between the ages of 16-20. With invitations offered to all schools and colleges within Buckinghamshire, Pipers are proud that in the last 10 years of submitting entries, we have taken the top place on multiple occasions.

This year, the first prize winner was Sophie C, whose beautifully crafted painting 'The Discovery' was the winner of a cash prize of £200. Victoria W took home the third place Certificate and £50 cash prize with her incredible sculpture 'Ice Cream Treat', with Isabelle E and Martha T winning Highly Commended Certificates.

The work was proudly exhibited in a special exhibition at Wendover Memorial Hall at the beginning of this month. Winners have also been featured in local press and the Buckinghamshire Art Society website.

You can see the winning entries in the Flickr album below.
