During lunchtime on Tuesday 1 March, the Landau Hall was the place to be, as girls from all year groups took part in the annual Hampden House Talent Show.  A very enthusiastic audience gathered, cheering for the contestants and waiting to see what talent this year’s show would reveal.

Following auditions earlier in the term, four special acts took to the stage to compete for the coveted first place prize.  To carry on tradition, there was also a special performance from the Upper Sixth to end the show.

The judging panel faced the tough choice of selecting the best performers and after some difficult decisions the prizes were announced as follows:

  • First prize: Emilia M and Alicia O (Year 8) for their duet (singing with piano accompaniment) of “Skinny Love” by Birdy.
  • Second prize: Victoria C and Natasha B (Year 9) for their singing and guitar performance of Ed Sheeran’s “All of the Stars”.

Miss Snellgrove, Head of Dance and member of the judging panel, said “The acts this year were fantastic and it was a very difficult decision to make. We saw amazing talent from girls in the Prep Department right to Upper Sixth and it was a thoroughly enjoyable show to watch.”
