In the week leading up to our GCSE Results Day, Pipers Corner School were thrilled to once again welcome staff from Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital, who came to our grounds to release nine rescued fox cubs.

After initial hesitation from a few of the cubs on this very special release, it was wonderful to see them running around our grounds and enjoying their freedom. They have now joined the vast collection of wildlife we have on the site, including other foxes, badgers and hedgehogs, with some of them released by Tiggywinkles on a previous visit.

This new release will create incredible opportunities for our students to explore and learn more about biodiversity on our site. You can learn more about our new extra-curricular club promoting nature awareness here.

Tiggywinkles, The Wildlife Hospital Foundation, is a specialist hospital that treats all British wild animal casualties who have been injured. They release the animals through a controlled programme back to the wild when they are fully-fit.

You can find out more about Tiggywinkles here and you can view a video of their release below.
