Informal Musical Concert

Girls from Year 6 – Year 11 were delighted to welcome family members to school on Thursday for a small informal concert in the Music Room.

The talented musicians played and sang a variety of pieces from a range of genres - classical to musical theatre.

The evening started with the guitar ensemble who performed a beautiful rendition of “Jar of Hearts”. This was then followed by a series of piano, woodwind, vocal and strings performances from beginners to GCSE students, as well as our Music Scholars.

Director of Music, Miss Faith said “This informal concert was a lovely way to showcase our talented musicians to friends and family. Performing in front of an audience really helps the girls’ confidence in their playing and singing which leads to improvement in their technique. All girls performed their pieces impeccably.”
