Senior School Trip to Aachen

In December, our Senior School linguists embarked on a remarkable trip to Germany, serving as a fitting conclusion to the Autumn Term. The city of Aachen offered a superb fusion of history, culture and festive charm, notably through its renowned Christmas markets.

The diverse itinerary carefully crafted for our students presented a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the local delicacies and customs that define Aachen. Exploring the Cathedral's captivating display of relics and artwork provided a deep-dive into the rich history of the region, while a guided tour of the medieval centre offered a first-hand experience of the city's cultural tapestry.

Undoubtedly, a highlight of the trip was the visit to the Lindt Chocolate factory, where students had the opportunity to indulge in the high-quality German chocolates. The overall experience in Aachen gave the perfect balance of educational exploration and festive joy, making it a trip we hope our students will fondly remember and one which can repeat with future year groups.
