Nativité et petit déjeuner français des préparatoires

Girls in Year 6 welcomed their parents to school for a delicious French breakfast this week. In The Prep Hall, which was decorated with the French flag, bunting and images of French patisseries on the wall, parents were greeted by the girls and asked, in French, what they would like to eat and drink. They then enjoyed tucking into a tasty array of Pain au Chocolat, Croissants, tea and coffee.

Whilst enjoying their breakfast the visitors were treated to a performance of the “Miracle of the Nativity” where all the girls involved acted the story of the birth of Jesus entirely in French.

The morning was a fantastic way for the girls to practice their conversational French and for their parents to see the progress the girls have made in learning the language. It was also fantastic preparation for the girls as they look forward to their residential trip to Normandy in April.
