#GeogSquad Update

#GeogSquad have been very busy working towards achieving the John Muir Discovery Award. 

The award focuses on the environment and wild places, encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors and to get to know more about nature. The first stage of the award required #GeogSquad to think carefully about a location they wanted to discover and explore. Devil's Dyke was chosen, following several weeks of detailed research by the squad. 

On the visit to Devil's Dyke #GeogSquad students spent a number of hours exploring the site and discovering all that it had to offer.  Immersing in nature and understanding the vital role of conservation at this location. They spotted rare orchids, wild butterflies and enjoyed spending time simply being at one with the environment.  Since this trip #GeogSquad has embarked on completing the final part of their Award: to share their experiences with others hence this article!  They look forward to sharing more with you in the future, in particular the achievement of the Discovery Award itself.
