Radio Pipers

Pipers Corner School launched its own radio station this week with the help of Gabby Logan (former international rhythmic gymnast better known now for her presenting roles for BBC Sport and ITV) and Sam Pinkham (Virgin Radio Breakfast Host).

In the inaugural show, members of the Pipers Corner Sixth Form interviewed Gabby Logan and learnt what motivated her to succeed on her chosen career path. Sam Pinkham was on hand to offer guidance to the crew for their exhilarating debut broadcast. Sam and the technical engineers at Virgin Radio have supported this project from its inception and guided the students on their journey from novice to live radio DJs and Producers!This initiative has been created by the school to enable and empower Pipers Corner students to build additional life skills outside of the conventional curriculum. The radio station airs lunchtime shows every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1305 hours, featuring music, conversation and interviews.
