Junior Theatre Company Presents the Wind in the Willows

As part of the vast selection of performances on offer at Pipers, this year the Junior Theatre Company decided on a show that was a little different to the usual. After choosing the beloved classic Wind in the Willows, the team were excited to work together on a more traditional production.

Throughout the rehearsals leading up to the main event that took place on Saturday 13 May, the students showed incredible dedication and a huge appreciation for a different and mature genre. Roles were allocated at random to enable different experiences and the small group had a calm atmosphere as they took charge.
 
Performers worked between themselves to encourage a little improvisation and made sure that each member of the team had a voice and the same number of lines. They also made decisions on who should perform solos and allowed for each performer to have equal time on the stage. 

Students involved in the production have all agreed what a wonderful experience it has been and they each feel a burst of confidence before the Year 6 production of Shrek: The Musical Jr later this term.
