Nurturing Entrepreneurship: Young Enterprise team StarSeekers already Winning Awards

Our Sixth Form students are once again participating in the renowned Young Enterprise program this year with their company StarSeekers - channeling their entrepreneurial spirit to create and sell their unique product.  Their idea? An environment and sustainability-focussed rewards programme for children!

Taking part in the Young Enterprise scheme empowers students to transform their entrepreneurial dreams in to reality by providing a platform for developing business ideas and products. The program fosters collaboration, critical thinking and practical skills, allowing young minds to grasp the intricacies of the business world. From sales to marketing, to design and financial planning they manage the full conceptual, production and to-market process, exhibiting at specially organised trade fairs across the country as they hope to achieve reward and recognition for their ingenuity.

StarSeekers hope to build on the success of previous years - Pipers Students have achieved some superb results. In 2019 'Bathe' were crowned National Championships, in 2020 'Corkify' became Regional Winners, 'Inside the Box' secured their spot as Area Showcase Finalists and most recently Seedlings were Runners-Up in the National Championships and won the coveted Company of the Year Award for Innovation and Technology. Beyond the accolades, participants have reaped the rewards such as university scholarships, work placements and invaluable connections in the business-world.

Adding to the legacy before them, StarSeekers is already making waves in this year's competition - clinching the runner-up spot at the Milton Keynes Trade Fair competition and earning the 'Best Pitch' award at their initial presentation (they received the highest financial investment possible). As they journey forward, we eagerly anticipate witnessing what this talented team will achieve.

Not only do Young Enterprise programs enhance academic learning, but they also equip young individuals with essential skills and attitudes that lay a strong foundation for their future endeavours.
