Music Pre-Prep and Prep

Girls from the Pre-Prep and Prep Department had the opportunity to play for friends and family at an informal concert on Tuesday evening. For some it was their very first time performing but all the girls rose to the occasion.

There were performances of many different genres of music from Nursery Rhymes to classical movements, played on instruments including piano, violin, viola and guitar.. A number of singers also took part.

Notable performances came from Martha O (Year 6) a Grade 5 violinist who played “1st Movement from Concerto in B Minor” by O Rieding. Lili R (Year 2), the youngest girl to perform and a musician who has only started learning the piano this term, played “Mary had a Little Lamb”..

Head of Prep Music, Ms Bradley-Buxton said “It was wonderful to watch the girls play to an audience.. Their confidence and tenacity was fantastic to see and they really relished in performing.”
