Junior Ski Trip 2017

Last week a group of girls from Year 6 and 7 had a fabulous time when then took part in the Junior Ski trip to Sansicario in Italy.

On their first morning on the slopes the girls were split into three groups for ski lessons according to their ability. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the girls soon found their “ski legs” as they got to grips with their surroundings.

The snow conditions were excellent throughout the week and, with the exception of one snowy day, the group enjoyed lots of sunshine. Each day the girls met for a hot lunch back at the hotel to share the best stories of the day. By the end of the week all girls had skied a red run and the more advanced even skied part of the Olympic black run.

In addition to skiing the girls also had the opportunity to take part in a number of après ski activities including a pizza evening, a quiz night and a talent show. On the final evening the ski instructors joined us for a hot chocolate and presented the girls with their ski school certificates and an official photograph.

Deputy Head of Prep, Miss Eagles, said “Over the course of the week all of the girls showed great determination, resilience and concentration as they made huge progress in their skiing ability. It was lovely to see the girls support each other and work so co-operatively. We also all had a lot of fun!”
