Knitting and Stitching Show

The Textiles department ran a very successful trip to the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace with 25 textile students from Year 8 – 13.

The purpose of attending the event was to give these students some great design inspiration for various projects being undertaken this year.

The girls were able to talk to textile artists and designers including Jenny O’Leary and Simon Sonsino. This gave them the opportunity to gather valuable research information for their sketchbooks as well as a host of new ideas, materials and techniques to take forward within their own portfolios.
