Can you make water move without touching it...? No...? Well, girls in Years 3, 4 and 5 were tasked with doing just that during a fantastic afternoon of hands-on Science experiments.

The students also had the opportunity to try and make a sinking object float without touching it, as well as being challenged to keep water in one place without using a container. Girls investigated convection currents using Potassium Permanganate and the impact on liquids and gases when heated. They also explored the principles behind density of water and how this can be affected.

The final challenge undertaken by our budding young Scientists, was to keep water in one place without using a container. This involved them seeing how many drops of water can be dropped on a penny.
