Last week Pipers Corner Lower Sixth Young Enterprise team gave a presentation to senior staff and Governors.

After explaining how their company, Harmony, originated and evolved and why they chose to structure their business as they did, the group were quizzed on their operations, marketing and finances.   Their choice of products, personalised phone cases and bracelets, clearly proved to be a sound basis for their company, which has turned in a healthy profit so far, with sales still coming in.

The 18 girls who make up the company reflected sensibly on what they had learnt throughout the whole process and spoke with enthusiasm about the Young Enterprise scheme and the support they have received from their advisors Mrs Delagado, Mr Grose, Mr Wells and Mrs Fairweather

Headmistress, Mrs Ness-Gifford said, "The girls have worked hard to achieve the results they have.  I am impressed by the way in which they have carried out their market research, how they have organised themselves into departments according to their strengths and skill sets and how they have sold and promoted their products at a variety of events and fairs.  Undoubtedly they have learnt a great deal about the world of business along the way.
