After last year’s two cancellations and this year’s postponement, on Friday 5 July  the sun shone and we finally had our Sports’ Day.  It was a fantastic way to end a great year of sporting achievement at Pipers.

The day, as always, started with the House Procession, which saw the girls dressed in House Colours, waving banners and chanting songs.  Fantastic House Spirit was in evidence from the girls, staff, parents and friends who were there to enjoy the day and support the competitors.

A variety of track and field competitions to place with all the girls from Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form involved. The final result saw Mandeville lift the Sports' Day trophy with Hampden in second, followed by Penn in third and Milton in fourth. The “Victor Ludorum Cup”, awarded to the student who gained the most points in individual events, was awarded to Victoria H, Hannah T and Emily S.

Head of PE, Miss Poore said, “Big congratulations to all the girls who competed to make this Sports’ Day a day to remember.  Everyone showed fantastic enthusiasm and their sporting ability really shone through. I couldn't be more proud.”
