Students at Pipers Corner School are celebrating a 100% pass rate in A Level examinations once again this year.  81% of the girls in the Sixth Form at Pipers achieved a top A* or A grade in at least one of their A Level subjects with 100% A* and A grades in Maths and Physics. In Art, Chemistry, Drama, French, Geography and Textiles 100% of the girls achieved at least a grade A or B. 46% of results were at grades A*-A and 79% at grades A*-B.

Pipers’ girls have successfully gained places at some of the country’s most sought after universities including UCL, University of Bristol, Kings College London, University of Sheffield, University of Birmingham and University of Exeter. They will be going onto study a diverse range of courses such as Medicine, Archaeology, Law, Maths, Geography, Music, Theology, Human Sciences, English Literature and Acting.

Some of the most outstanding achievers include:

  • Emily House who after achieving two A* grades in Biology and Maths and an A grade in Chemistry will be going on to study Medicine at UCL.
  • Natasha Lindon achieved two A* grades in History and English Literature and an A grade in Maths and has successfully gained a place at the University of Bristol to study Law.
  • Louise Cox achieved 3 A grades in Geography, History and Drama and will be taking up a place at the University of Birmingham to study Geography.
  • Victoria Elcock has accepted a place at the University of Sheffield to study English Literature following her achievement of 3 A grades in Drama, English Literature and Religious Studies.
  • Brooklyn Thirkettle has successfully secured a place at the University of Exeter to study Physics, with excellent grades of an A* in Maths and two A grades in Physics and Chemistry.
  • Cassie Hughes achieved an A* in Psychology, an A in Religious Studies and a Distinction in Hospitality Management and is going on to study International Hospitality Management at Oxford Brooks.

 

Headmistress Mrs Helen Ness-Gifford said “Every year I am extremely proud of the girls here at Pipers and this year was no exception.  Once again our girls have demonstrated that they are able to reach their highest potential with fantastic grades.  I am delighted that our students will be taking up places at some of the top universities in the country and I wish them every success in the next phase of their education.”
