Rule Britannia

On Saturday 7 September the Senior Boarders went out to Hyde Park to attend the Last Night of the Proms 2013. When we arrived, we all got excited by the Union Jack tattoos that came in the programs and immediately put them straight onto our faces. We managed to place ourselves in a really good position that was centre of the stage and not too far away, and this is where we set up camp and had a picnic with the food we had prepared earlier. Thankfully, it did not rain on us at all, and the sun was out for the majority of it, but by the end of the night we did need the extra layers we had brought. The music played was incredible and very varied, from Scottish ‘bagrock’ players, to the cast of Let it Be to the legend Bryan Ferry. It was such a lovely atmosphere, and we would recommend you all to go to the Proms next year!
