Whole School

The whole school enjoyed the opportunity to come together as a community on Monday for a whole school service on the theme of “Friendship”. Led by School Chaplain, Rev Gurr, it provided the girls with the opportunity to explore the meaning of friendship along with why it is important to appreciate friendships and respect each other.

This year the service was held outside on the lawn allowing everyone to appreciate the lovely Spring weather. During the service The Rev. Mark Meardon talked to the girls about creating deep and meaningful relationships with our friends and how this can help fulfil our lives and bring us closer to God.

To highlight the importance of friendship, Year 9 GCSE Dance girls performed a dance to “Lean on me”. This was followed by Pre-Prep girls singing “Love is something when you give it away” and a performance from Vocalease singing “Loving Shepherd” by Bob Chilcott. Prep girls had also written prayers about respect, saying sorry and what friendship means to them, which they read to the rest of the school.
