Pipers Corner is celebrating outstanding GCSE results yet again this year with 96% of results at grades A*-C. An impressive 45% of all results were at grades A*/A, an increase on the results from 2014, with over three quarters of all results at grades A*- B.

A fifth of students in Year 11 achieved A* and A grades in at least 8 subjects and particular congratulations go to the following girls who achieved at least 9 grades A*/A: Freya Barnetson, Alice Craft, Charlotte Day, Louisa Gold, Abigail Hemming, Jessica Hide, Molly Hird, Mairidgh O'Brien, Tara Sallis, Annabel Stalder, Rosie Tucker and Olivia Walker.

A special mention also has to go to twins, Olivia and Emily Walker. Both girls have been at Pipers Corner since Year 7 and between them have amassed an impressive haul of 19 A*/A grades.

Headmistress, Helen Ness-Gifford said, “This impressive set of results is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both girls and staff. We are delighted to have maintained our overall pass rates of recent years and that, in contrast to the national results, we have seen an increase in the percentage of very top grades. I am delighted for all the girls as they excitedly prepare for what lies ahead. Over the course of their time at Pipers Corner they have embraced not only their academic studies with enthusiasm, but also the many other extra-curricular opportunities open to them in Sport, Performing Arts and Leadership. I look forward to sharing in the girls’ continued success as they move forward into our Sixth Form.”
