Building update at Pipers

This summer, in line with the school’s continuing commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities, Pipers has undergone extensive building works to enhance the learning environment and landscape of the school.

The first phase of building the new Pipers Arts Centre (due for completion in September 2016) has begun including the groundwork and the basement area structure. This is now in place, and the contractors are moving onto creating the ground floor slab.  The weather throughout the summer has been kind, but recently with the rain has made the site quite muddy. 

There is a time lapse camera set up to record the build and each week a new video will be posted onto the Pipers YouTube channel - http://pipers.sc/1OeUa7M.  

Additional developments include:

• A brand new Sixth Form area for our Upper and Lower Sixth girls, providing them with dedicated study facilities at the very heart of the school.
• A new floodlit triple court with an all-weather surface
• A new Dance Studio adjacent to the new all-weather courts.
• Brand new classrooms for Business Studies, Individual Learning and PHSE in the section of the school that previously housed our Junior Boarding facilities. This will be followed by a new IT suite in 2016.
